Movember maintains movement.
With the first game for the month of November we went on to face Bayern again. The game was dominated by us this time round at the Sadium Lille Métropole but still ended in a 0-0 draw meaning we have only picked up 2 point in 4 games in the group. Mathematically we still have a chance to go through but I am hoping we don’t as we have more of a chance of winning the EURO cup than the Champions League.
After seeing off the draw to Bayern we made had an easier game against Evian. The team ware still tired from the Bayern game but this didn’t stop them from scoring in the 11th min with Taarabt slotting away his second penalty of the game which is already an improvement from my QPR save. Just before the half ended Hazard got on the end of a Taarabt cross to score his first of the season before Henrikson set up Roux for our 3rd. Overachieving Brahimi scored his 3rd out of 6 league games making him a real coup!
Later on that week we face off against Toulouse. We managed to get a early lead with Pejcinovic getting his head on a corner in the 23rd min which allowed us to lead coming into the second half. Athough the game looked set to have another goal it it we were held off and finished the game well 1-0 keeping us top of the table.
With what looks to be the deciding game of whether we would stay in the Champions League, we faced off against Zenit. The team started off well looking like they didn’t want to leave the competition but would this new found effort be to late? The tough game kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time and was delight when Taarabt managed to get us a well deserved goal in the 74th and Lovren managed to get us our 2nd in our first win of the Champions league. Despite the victory we will not go through to the next round.
With a great hard fought win against Zenit we then had a league game against Stade Brestois 29 a team in the relegation zone. We got a bit of luck witht he first goal coming from the head of Gentiletti in the 12 min but this lead was made bigger 7 mins later with Hazard scoring off the break. Jelen managed to get his name on the score sheet in the 81st min with yet another game again showing his talents and what we missed during his injury. We seem to now be firing on all cylinders and I’m confident of our position in the league.
With a very successful month we find our selves on top of the table with only just goal difference keeping us ahead of Lyon and we have the best defense with only 8 goals let in.
Well till next time, Cheers!

The funny thing is for most of the season I’ve been playing;
Name Age Games
Pejcinovic 24 16(3)
Vorsah 23 15
Pape Souaré21 14
M’Bengue 23 13
Lovren 22 7(4)
So its really a young defense…
Makes them scary for the future!
